  1. lol you actually believe we should be punishing innocent people because they were accused and just say “well most of the time people aren’t lying about this so we’re gonna have to book you buddy”

  2. Lol, you think wife beaters should get guns because you don't trust women.

  3. Some people I trust and some I don’t. Doesn’t have much to do with what their gender is.

  4. That's what I think too. Just I also think interest rates aren't going to solve the remaining inflation they haven't already tamed yet. For that you're going to have to build more housing.

  5. You haven’t noticed a difference in the housing market from 2020-2022 vs 2022-today?

  6. Our unemployment is very low. And honestly, I can't think of anything more American that letting the most qualified and hungry person get the job. I don't care where you were born, you beat me out, kudos.

  7. Keep that same energy when someone is beating you out by accepting a third of what you get paid. 😬

  8. Industrial automation. Programmable logic controllers and human machine interfaces (PLCs and HMIs). There’s a huge demand for these skills all over the country, it pays well (100-150k) and it’s probably overlooked by most. Try Rockwell automation and search for trainings to get started.

  9. Makes perfect sense, actually. You just haven't given it any thought. Having the authority isn't the same as exercising it. They had the authority to buy back $300M and have used $200M of it. The remaining $100M authorization has been sitting around for years. Doesn't hurt one bit to re-up that authority and setting an arbitrary cap isn't necessary -- unless you don't trust the board to use the authority wisely. I wouldn't have trusted the pre-RC board with that authority, but he changed all that.

  10. I think it’s doubtful cohen is planning a buyback at this stage. Maybe in a few more years. He seems like he’s more inclined to invest the money in growing the business. Buying shares is basically like a dividend. It returns money to shareholders but doesn’t help the business grow.

  11. Guns always start their lives legally. There isn't a black market of guns that are imported across the border illegally. So there is one of 3 things that happened here. The user bought it legally, it was stolen, or it was sold in a private sale with no background check.

  12. Well not always. 3d printed weapons are growing in popularity. For a few thousand bucks almost anyone can begin printing gun parts and then buy the remaining unregulated pieces legally to make a functioning weapon.

  13. It’s his last college game he’s just playing till the buzzer. NBA contract is worth more than some twenty dollar fanduel bet his uncle placed.

  14. Knecht feeling himself right now.

  15. There are tons of young single women in Nashville. I can’t speak to the quality or compare with Atlanta but I know when my dad comes to visit and we go to a restaurant and it’s packed with a hundred plus people under 35s he says it makes him feel old. It’s a very popular city for southern, college educated (UT, Alabama, ole miss etc), affluent girls. Vanderbilt is here. Music transplants are here. Lots of Cali and NYC transplants here. If you want good ole country life it’s only 30 minutes outside the city. I’d check out Charlotte too. Both cities are growing very fast.

  16. Yeah his pinky hit it but the other guys hand was still on it in the follow thru you goons

  17. Can burns not shoot a right handed layup?

  18. Yeah but you cant just buy a house without a land, it comes together.

  19. Au contraire. The exciting new startup groundly out of NYC will sell you just the house and sign you up for a “ground lease”.

  20. Cormac taking lessons from flipowski I see

  21. Interesting. So I did the math quick. Right now each contract would give $0.32. So with 20 contracts you will make a premium of USD 640 within 14 days. Margin required: 388k. So this IS free money imo, but not a good YoY Return. I mean NVDA more than doubling in this timeframe with it’s enormous marketcap is impossible. The risk of that happening is very far off the tail.

  22. If there is a large jump and IV explodes your margin requirement can go way up even if your options are still way OTM. You can still get margin called and liquidated.

  23. Do you include Germantown when you say "north of Charlotte Avenue"? If so, what's wrong with it?

  24. No I would say germantown is great for young singles and has the best restaurants and very walkable. Just stay east of Rosa parks blvd. the Kroger right there on monroe is fondly nicknamed “murder Kroger”.

  25. Personally I’d max the Roth and max the match and everything else extra id put in an after tax brokerage account and buy index funds. I just prefer to pay the tax now rather than later on the traditional 401k route

  26. I just like the freedom and flexibility it brings. I only have 30-40% of my money in index funds so maybe I lean a little higher risk profile. being able to quickly deploy that money if a good opportunity comes up is more valuable to me than the potential tax savings on the pretax 401k. My company 401ks have always had extremely limited investment offerings so that contributes to it too.

  27. Exactly if I’m gonna live for ever I god damn better look like a marble statue and eat like Henry the eighth.

  28. We already have that ability. It’s called a gym…

  29. Still might make sense to put one in Iowa. It's not always about population in the immidate area. People drive through Iowa, having a way to charge your car faster would be nice.

  30. The solution is homes. Electric car owners have a charger at their house. With enough homes in the network Create the Uber of charging stations to find the nearest place to recharge and the home owner gets paid a fee to let someone charge for 30 min. Electricity is already widely distributed why go through the effort of making central stations like for gas.

  31. The best way to short the housing market is either sell your home and rent if you are an owner or short the wildly appreciated home builder stocks.

  32. First of all they will restrict how much you can sell based on how much money you deposit in the account…duh. It’s like asking can I open an account with no money and the broker let me buy a million dollars worth of apple stock on margin. Obviously no. Selling a put is pretty much the same thing as buying shares. It’s just a promise to buy the shares in the future and deliver them to the put holder if they exercise.

  33. If people stopped using the corrupt banks…they would go out of business. Stop depositing money, stop borrowing money. Easier said than done though. Or a radical new type of bank that charges fees or a subscription for their banking services and does not lend deposits.

  34. Nearly every functioning democracy- and Id hardly suggest America is one- has more than two legitimate choices. The op is writing in reference to the objective liars in our politics- the ones who run on a dem ticket then switch to repub once elected.

  35. OP is not denouncing that tactic…in fact they are supporting it and suggesting their preferred candidates use it to win instead.

  36. My personal opinion is it’s not about the investment strategy at all and more a result of the variation in personalities and life circumstances between working class parents, rich kids, richer grandkids. Plus each generation the wealth gets divided by a larger and larger amount of people, diminishing it.

  37. Even if he was hustling, he would’ve gotten hit by the mob, he’d have to literally sprint and even then he might get hit. This is a security issue.

  38. Looks to me like he stuck his leg out with the intent to trip that guy. If he were trying to actually avoid a collision he would simply stop walking…like any normal person.

  39. And get hit by the people who didn't realize his momentum stopped. He literally didn't have a good option in that scenario.

  40. He’s 7 ft 250 lb with a bunch of 165 lb college kids scurrying around him and y’all talk like he’s braving the jungles of Vietnam. He’s not even hurt and this is a non story.

  41. Well what you feel like happened and the reality of it are two different things. Believe it or not a 7 foot man trying to get off the court as soon as possible has a large stride. The fact this is even being argued about shows how ridiculous this sub has a hard-on for hating Duke. If a UNC player got barreled into by some dumbass kid you surely would not catch my salty ass trying to blame the player when the students have no right being on the court in the first place, let alone with 2 seconds on the clock

  42. My guy just own it. Filipowski tried to take a shot at the fan. He whiffed but got his knee bumped and immediately took to twitter to complain to someone because all the refs were already gone at that point.

  43. How is he standing there and not in a wheelchair? Did two teammates have to carry him out there to that interview location? That punch in the back was so hard he had to go on twitter to discover he had been punched! Amazing.
