  1. Don’t forget the My Heart will always be the b-side of my tongue songs like Love Will Tear Us Apart and It’s not a side affect of the cocaine (Ignoring the acoustic covers of course

  2. Patrick actually played Cocaine a few weeks ago! And since LWTUA is a cover I didn’t count it like Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting. Weirdly they haven’t played most of their studio covers live besides Beat It.

  3. I really feel for the people outside of the US who bought two $15 passes for these shows. Directly from the Veeps website: "Join Megadeth from the second of two sold out shows on the Crush the World Tour from Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, Argentina, exclusively on Veeps. Each night to offer a unique set"

  4. Shit, didn't even consider that. Wow. Watch the third show on Tuesday show have all of the deep cuts.

  5. Vortex, Sin (Evil That’s Within), and FFF (Bullprick) all have alternate versions from the Youthanasia sessions as bonus tracks on CW.

  6. This might be the best TWNAH-era song and it didn't make the album.

  7. Folie especially has some more intricate bass lines (not difficult, but harder than most fob basslines) and I doubt Pete played all of them. I have heard somewhere that Pete is a studio musician and not a live musician. He wasn’t really focused on the sound of his playing back then as he was putting on a good show as far as I can tell. He’s more subdued on stage now (probs bc of age) but his playing is way better. His biggest problem is the poor guy has such a little sense of rhythm (hence why Patrick normally doubles him when playing WDTPG or HMLAG). As far as who played the bass on WAMS, it was probably Patrick. I’m pretty sure Joe played bass in a band before FOB, so I would say him, but he wasn’t as involved with folie. In Pete’s signature squier interview he mentioned that’s the bass he used to record all of folie a deux, but imo that’s bs. Idk how much bass Pete actually played in the first four albums. I really just don’t understand how you can be playing bass for like 25 years and still struggle with a bassline like HMLAG

  8. And not even play the full bassline live. Why!!! (For HMLAG)

  9. If they stick to 15 song setlists, and the two sets are 100% unique, they'll play more songs between these shows than they have in over 10 years. The last year they played more than 30 unique songs was 2013.

  10. I’ve been wondering if a remix by Andy Sneap is possible. They played Sword of Damocles on the third show of a new album tour. It might be wishful thinking but it’s odd that that album is so top of mind. The 10 year anniversary is this year :)

  11. It's mundane enough where it should just be, "hey [person], I saw some funny shit today". There are so many videos posted that no one needs to see. It definitely isn't healthy.

  12. I feel like there's become this unspoken rule of "if it happened and you want to tell a story about it, why DIDN'T you take a photo or video?" Again, it's odd.

  13. The album plays nicer if this song was just cut out imo. I enjoy listening to it, but it feels like an extra song for an extra's songs sake. I think it would've been more appreciated if they dropped it as a one off in tribute of Lemmy.

  14. Isn’t this just show they can bring both of them in one shot? Or is there something more deceptive going on?

  15. The camera angle is locked so they can (if they edited it correctly) cut out AD's half of the screen and Clay's half of the screen and mix and match their reactions to what the other person says.

  16. Great to see Glenn was involved where he could be! He played solos on Sons of Thunder and Vicious Circle. He also brought those two songs to the table along with Escape from Reality.

  17. and people will continue to (baselessly) claim he wasn't on the album at all

  18. I have some experience recording older people with issues that affect their playing. Live is one thing, but people would be surprised how much someone can "bring it" in the studio in small bursts.

  19. The Lodger is f-ng amazing! Love the chorus and music. Shame it wasn't on the main album.

  20. The Lodger was written by Bob Halligan who also wrote Take These Chains and Some Heads Are Gonna Roll. In an interview, Rob made it sound like that song has been around for awhile (possibly even the 80s) so I'm guessing that had to do with it being a bonus track over the new original songs.

  21. And outside of the features, Steven Tyler plays harmonica on Killing Floor which drops tomorrow. There's some sliver of hope for an Axl piano feature!

  22. Firepower was amazing, and the title track is awesome live. Can’t wait to see the new material in May!

  23. Anthrax was the only other band I can think of that fits this bill. WM and FAK might be their strongest records as a whole.

  24. Cool. Has anyone come across more information on how the cowriting really happened? Because this makes it sound more like Wexler wrote the whole thing and Billy just sings it.

  25. Every interview has been painting a clearer picture. I might be optimistic here, but it sounds like Billy and Freddy Wexler already had a multi-year project going on where they were working on Billy's old, unreleased songs (hopefully a future album). In the midst of that, Freddy worked on this song that he felt would be appropriate as a "new" Billy single.

  26. The final tracklist works way better with Dream No More on disc one. However the quality of the two discs is more balanced this way imo

  27. Schecter build quality at that price point is hard to beat, especially for hard rock/heavy metal. I have an Omen 6 Extreme that I got as a teen over 10 years ago and I still use it live! They run for about $300 used.

  28. the dev history of Jak 2 would be: "people sure do love gta 3 and sonic adventure. Lets make Jak 2 more like those games."

  29. Reading this makes me realize I probably wouldn't like Jak 2 and Jak 3 if they came out when I was older and I actually processed the development process, being such a huge fan of J&D1 already. Or more likely I wouldn't have even them a try.

  30. I think one of the contingencies of the reunion was Andy and Joe contributing more musically. Definitely up to interpretation on Andy's side, but the guitar balance changed a ton between Pat/Joe between 2009 and 2013. Most of the noodle-y guitar bits across the post-hiatus era albums (especially AB/AP) give Joe a tooooon of creative liberty. But pre-hiatus, Pat was just as much the lead guitarist as Joe was.

  31. Yes, either Mexico 2024 or All Within My Hands Benefit 2024.
