Outrageous-Yams

  1. Yandex is based out of Russia, so I doubt you are any better off with that. Horrible suggestion.

  2. Supply chain issues are just a small component of the bigger picture. And no I'm not a MAGA idiot, I'm supportive of Biden.

  3. Meanwhile every economic sub is bracing for a recession (for the 4th year in a row)

  4. I always see this misconception repeated here: you see that massive spike in M1?

  5. That's not why there was a spike. There was a spike because they printed a fookton of money.

  6. He's trying to normalize market manipulation in the minds of people. "Hey, this is just how the system functions and here's other guys that do the same thing as us" I have a feeling those other firms are not happy about him lumping them in with him.

  7. Should have appointed tradespotta as the CIO but I’ll take RC

  8. Very well, as long as all data is transferred during the migration, I would clearly prefer this. I have a USB-C to USB-C cable which I use to connect my monitor. I think that should work.

  9. Good idea. In theory I think it should work just fine, though I would be curious to know how fast it works for you. Depends on the usb-c cable too.

  10. Pretty sure they used Cyprus because it allows them to use both Cyrillic and anglicized spelling of their names with enables the obfuscation of their assets.

  11. While it does allow for multiple spellings etc., the real reason cyprus is used is because it allows for easy access to the EU with little to no regulatory oversight.

  12. I really doubt this. If they wanted to do that they would limit the sale quantity to individuals to 1 per person. They're trying to do whatever is best for Tesla, not for any consumer. Forgive my pessimism, but given their recent changes to the pricing of other models, changes which were put in place without any real communication in advance...

  13. I mean, the difference here though is that a PS5 doesn't require registration on both a state and company level like a tesla/car does upon a sale.

  14. I just do a few wraps around 3 fingers, then wrap the rest through and around the coiled cable. No kinks, and can't tangle.

  15. And the wires needing to be endlessly untangled and them being constantly tugged out of your ear while working out

  16. no need to untangle them if you wrap them correctly and use a simple velcro loop on the end. takes all of 3 seconds but people never learn.

  17. The game is like a rollercoaster, the highs are high, but the lows are pretty low.

  18. Nailed it. I feel the same and while I like the game, it leaves you with a bit of a...synthetic...feeling when compared to previous titles.

  19. The procedural generation is like a slightly more interesting Preston Garvey in a way

  20. The RP options in starfield are dogshit, I felt the same way doing the first stolen artifact quest when I was forced to kill every employee before basically just hugging it out with the CEO at the end anyways. Dumb as hell.

  21. I'm not disagreeing that the RP options could be better but...I was definitely not forced to kill every employee in that mission. IIRC, I negotiated at the end. I also have at least 1 skill point in speech/persuasion though.

  22. Honestly that's the only thing I miss from Fallout, I don't really care about the gore. I don't even care about removing armor from bodies for "immersion" reasons, just more that it was a nice clear indicator of which bodies I had already looted.

  23. I have been playing for like 30 hours and just realized the armor doesn't come off when you loot them lol. WTF. Something felt off but I just didn't realize until you said it.

  24. Nope. I think the weapons almost always drop, at least I haven't found a body that doesn't at least drop weapons/ammo, but armor seems like it's RNG based. I also just don't understand the reasoning behind it, it's not like it's for censorship reasons like a lot of people are claiming because your character can run around in his underwear like any other Bethesda game and the corpses have never been naked, I don't really get it.

  25. He was known for asking a question in passing and if you didn’t have the answer you were fired. He said he did his best to avoid eye contact or attention.

  26. Thanks. Saving and and reloading the game fixed it. It was fun while it lasted : D

  27. I see you have never tried to transfer hundreds of GB of audio files (and video) to your phone.

  28. He legit has the same “holy fuck this would so awesome” naming instincts as the little boys in my middle school friend group did, it’s truly bizarre to watch

  29. I legitimately thought it would be a cool idea to name one of the folders I was using on the family computer something like this, when I was maybe 8-10. It lasted for all of 15 minutes before I decided it was impossible to remember what I was putting in it, and that I couldn't even pronounce it. So, yes, you are correct.

  30. I have a friend that is "attractive". I'm lucky to be considered average. And we have been friends for 30+ years. I can tell you that its incredible just going out for a beer with him. It's like a magic spell is casted on women and he doesn't have to do anything. The stories I could tell are outrageous and if I wasn't there to confirm it I would never believe it either. All the women he has dated. He has cheated on. And these women are gorgeous and it doesn't matter.

  31. Ah yes, the ever-reputable lab-grown gemstones from Thailand. Surely they have excellent labor practices and quality standards.

  32. Not sure why you're being downvoted here, it's a valid concern.

  33. Peak reddit moment, report a company for increasing prices to the FTC. Let me guess, you think the BBB also has power or that the President controls gas prices.

  34. Literally trying to lock people into a subscription with gigantic price increases alongside very little notice - and no option for basic paid features - is likely very much the kind of bad business practice that the FTC might investigate.

  35. It’s just a capitalist scheme. It’s sad that we always realize this too late. I mean, me included mate, not meaning “told you so” or anything.

  36. We've measured the dimensionality of the universe at roughly somewhere between 2.9 and 3.2 with the wolfram physics project, I don't recall the exact figure at the moment but it was somewhere in there. Several other methods turn up similar dimensionality. All of the extra dimensions of string theory and M theory ended up looking more and more nonsensical and fake as time went on and they're basically considered joke theories with no possible basis in reality, fully disproven at this point.

  37. There isn't. The push towards the "interdimensional" is a propaganda strategy designed to appeal to the "UFOs as modern myth" true believers in the myth to further shore up the mental models and narratives that there's some somber reason for maintaining disclosure.

  38. For...whatever...this is worth... Doug Trumbull (famous director/VFX artist, etc. stc.) said "they are inter-dimensional beings" when I asked him if he thought aliens existed. ("Yes, but they are inter-dimensional." It was the first thing he said in his response which I found interesting at the time. I am a skeptic of everything so I just wanted to pick his brain and he seemed well versed in this area, so wanted to ask a fun question, and honestly didn't expect him to answer so...seriously.

  39. Every system from crafting, looting, exploring, is all just the same thing as it is in Fallout and Skyrim.

  40. For me, the biggest surprise with this game is that I don't feel like it totally replaces No Man's Sky. The two are different enough that I think they can co-exist. I might even switch between them at some point.

  41. How is this surprising? They aren't even vaguely the same lol - I love both but I just found this funny. It always looked and sounded like a Fallout 4 in Space kind of game. Which it is. And I love it. But I barely paid attention to any of the development news, leaks/ gameplay reveals...etc. - maybe that's why we had different expectations.
