Not necessarily. The value of APE comes from AMC, but it may not be 50/50. If APE opens at $4 (the NYSE minimum) then AMC only loses $4/share.
This is correct sort of. When $APE comes out it should be around the required $4 from what I see. Which should reduce AMC, but is not set in stone. AMC will go to whatever price it wants to. The only mention about price reducing is the statement saying “logic” assumes it will go down to accommodate the market cap.
I’ll be honest I have had a few shares of Amc that passed their 1 year mark now and do not plan on selling them. I am concerned though with the future of it due to how AA played this hand. Let’s just hope he isn’t going for a rug pull.

You know he answered you truthfully right? It was a split and not a dividend. You did not clarify properly to get the right information from him. The real question to ask btw is “did the dtc provide 3 shares to your brokerage on my behalf for your book entry, or did you just split the stock 4:1”. If asked that you could have probably escalated to someone that may have answered the question with more knowledge.
