Snow Flake (Goan) restaurant at Metro is an unpolished gem of a restaurant. It's located in a lane opp Kyani. Had gone there to buy Amotik (Shark Curry) but it was unavailable. Bought Chilly Fry & Potato Chops which I've always loved. The Chilly Fry was tastier than the Chilly Fry from New Martin.

Horse Shoe puff pastry, Blueberry pastry and Dutch Truffle pastry from Merwans. Saw the Horse Shoe puff pastry for the first time. Was told it has a filling of Cashew Nuts. It was decent for the pricing (Rs. 50). The other 2 pastries were okayish as there's more sponge than cream or icing.

How is it compared to good flipin
I'd say it's better which could vary as per your taste buds Mate.
Good stuff, which one was better?
I was more excited for the Chorizo burger but was a tad disappointed as the Chorizo flavour wasn't as prominent. A Steak & Ham burger usually can't go wrong & it was the better one.
This is in Colaba right??
No Mate. This is in Dhobi Talao (Metro). This restaurant is in a lane bang opposite Kyani.
You’ll also love gables then in case you haven’t been there already
I dislike Gables due to 1 or 2 bad experiences with their food. New Martin is the undisputed leader in Goan food in Colaba.
This is colaba options ke side wala ???? Sangam restuarant ke samne?
Now there are 2 or 3 similar food stalls. I took from the second stall which is outside Milan Fast Food.
The only problem with these Box8 brands is that the food is not fresh. It is cooked centrally and distributed to their cloud kitchens across the city where it is used the rest of the day. There was a Box8 in my office cafeteria in One Indiabulls where I saw them open the gravy packets, heat the stuff and then put it into the boxes for delivery or eating. Even the parathas. So since then I have stopped eating these.
This practice is prevalent across many Biryani selling places online as well. Most of them are cloud kitchens.
Saucy 😍
It was a first for me where I ate butter chicken chunks layered inside a paratha roll that had chutney as well. A slight complex variant of flavours there but it was decent at the end.
Is more more sponge than cream and Icing bad ?? Cuz for me it's opposite I always like it with less cream and Icing
It's not your typical pastry where you'll feel the weight of the cream, icing, frosting, ganache etc. I do believe due to the minimal usage of these, Merwans is able to keep the pricing of the pastries lower when compared to the other bakeries & cake shops around.
Hazelnut truffle pastry is much better than dutch truffle imo.
Tbh, I don't like any of their pastries. I love their savoury stuff though. I just went there to reaffirm my disinterest in their pastries...LOL
Was it spicy?
Not at all.
wheres the seafood
It was just Prawns.
my daily breakfast but instead of bread I eat chapati
Usually I'll eat the Omlette by itself but yesterday I was in the mood to have bread with a dollop of yummy butter. The butter makes a big positive difference to every bite.
Aur ek cup chai iske baad. Favourite comfort food ❤
Typically, it would be for anyone. Usually, I don't like to mix heavy meals together as tea or coffee are acidic in nature & egg by itself is a heavy meal. Chai I prefer having by itself.
How did it tasted?
It was like a typical shawarma minus pickled veggies & fries in the mix. It was a decent experience to try it this way but it's surely not worth the price. A typical shawarma has more spice & even more chicken.
Begging & scamming has gone a way new level of creativity. It's sad because of these people we would tend to hesitate in helping if a genuine person came by.
Cases where I've seen the bus not stopping at the bus stop are either:
It's because they have to make a daily amount of trips on that bus route & even stay on schedule.
Have only been to Pop Tates once which is in Malad. There isn't one in SoBo.
Salute to you for embracing the 'ignored' Bitter Gourd. It may be bitter but it is nutritious in it's own right. Love the fact you've got some Button Mushrooms as well to add a texture to your meal. Again, they're nutritious too.
Omg yum. Where can I find this
At any of the Merwans branch.

This I bought from their Colaba branch which was earlier at the exit of 3rd Pasta Lane. Now due to numerous cake shops in that vicinity, it has shifted to 1st Pasta Lane opposite Kailash Parbat restaurant.
Surmai is my favorite apart from Salmon. A well cooked Surmai is so awesome as its mainly a fillet with just a bone running in the middle.
You forgot to mention the location bro. Where in Mumbai? Borivali, Andheri, Bandra, etc
This is on the edge of Colaba Market. Shop is Nooriya Caterers which is in a lane where Shamshuddin Cycle Mart is situated.
Where is it in Mumbai?
This is in a lane on the inside edge of Colaba market. The landmark to reach here is Shamshuddin Cycle Mart. This shop (Nooria Caterers) is diagonally opposite to this cycle shop.
Sindhi? 😳
Yeah.
A plate I can relate to.
Looks good. I love king prawns & if made well, they're a a culinary treasure.
At this rate OP, next time if you were to order from here, you'll only get the toppings minus the bread.
If the entire spread of curry, parathas & onions with lemon were all made at your home, then Mate I don't think you need to even consider going to a restaurant to eat.
Aloo fry is my absolute favorite dish to eat with any dal made at home. Just love it to the core.
I used to go at one which is still active in my area.
