fullyoperational

  1. He did snap a whole army + Thanos though, maybe he could get away with one way weaker dude? Plus I feel like turning people is dust is needlessly energy inefficient. That seems so much more complicated than just pinching a major artery or moving someone's heart outside the body

  2. I edited it in the comments. I had a messed up when I was making my post. When I copied it from my last post, it didn’t copy everything.

  3. Don't go by time. There's too many variables to account for. Go by the size increase and the feel. After bulk is done it should be airy and poofy and 50-100% larger (you'll get a feel). It's probably easier to err on the side of overfermentation.

  4. Have you ever tried to slice your own bread? Crumbs everywhere, uneven slices, extra time

  5. You need a better bread knife. I recommend the Mercer 10 inch. I make at least 2 loaves a week. Its cheap and effective.

  6. I think the final shape must be my issue here. I see videos of people making it look so effortless and think I'm doing identical practices, but suspect I'm not stretching and building tension as aggressively tbh

  7. How does it feel when you are shaping? When I make a really good loaf, I can tell during the shaping process. Theres a sort of tightening that happens when you build that tension. You can feel the dough become almost like a spring under tension.

  8. When the Amazon WoT series season 1 came out and Shad reviewed it, he could not go two seconds without complaining about 'women with power' and 'here comes WOMEN to save the day for men again!' and 'oh we can't do anything without WOMEN'.

  9. Not defending Shad here (fuck that guy) or siagreeimg, i just wanna rant.

  10. I want to try a roasted chickpea and arugala salad, just harvested a bunch of the arugala from my garden!

  11. I wonder, what would happen to the ISS tho.... if Earth reattached fast enough, they'd actually still be alive right? This could be movie material, apocalypse where only the astronauts survive but their orbit is altered and they have to rush out to the escape pod hoping that they don't land in the middle of a tsunami or smth.

  12. The absurd amount of debris flung into space would kill them within minutes

  13. hair dressers wont be replaced by AI but certainly by automation. Scan the head, choose a cut and go for it. Its super simple to replicate and automate

  14. I'd argue it's in contention for the best coded (as in scripting and system design) video game. The optimizations they do to run at the scales they do are actually insane

  15. I'm not sure it's possible to outdo Chris Sawyer and Roller Coaster Tycoon. Guy wrote it by himself on assembly, with scraps!

  16. You have the 4 weapon proficiencies you should have from half elf, and the simple weapon and 4 martial weapons you should have from bard. And the double comma goes right between where these lists meet. Seems like a typo where they both ended one list with a comma, and started the next list with a comma.

  17. Probably something like weapon_string = racial_list + ',' + class_list

  18. Before the Kyoshi books were written, the people who made the ATLA universe unintentionally created a 200 year period of time where Kyoshi had to be the Avatar. This was realised after the fact, and the author of the Kyoshi books found a workaround, where Kyoshi learned a spiritual technique (I think it’s implied or directly stated to be earthbending, but tbh I prefer it when it’s described as spiritual, it makes more sense) where she essentially meditated really hard and rebuilt every atom of her body based on a mental image she formed of herself. It’s sort of literal and sort of metaphorical at the same time, but ultimately it works and Kyoshi was able to be a woman in her physical prime for centuries until she eventually decided to stop using the technique and let nature take its course.

  19. A nuclear powered satellite weapon. They aren't putting nukes into space. Not sure if there are any treaties regarding nuclear reactors in space but Russia knows that putting nuclear missiles in space would not be good for them.

  20. In general, Star Trek's humanity is doing great. The only problems it really has are outside threats such as the imperialist Dominion and the ever-assimilating Borg.

  21. You forgot to mention that we would all be dead in a matter of weeks, due to the lack of sunlight!

  22. Weeks? I would give it a couple hours before Earth lost its residual heat, and a few more hours for 99% of people to succumb to the cold

  23. The Earth is still being heated during night, just on the other side. Some of that heat still makes it around. Though on further reflection, I think the oceans themselves would take a while to cool down to freezing, given ther size. So a few hours might be too short. I think a few days might be more accurate.

  24. The bar above the 3 denotes that it repeats infinitely. So in the joke, at some point the bar was removed and the rest of the 3s following the original came rushing out and crashed through the wall.

  25. I always get sucked into watching pbs spacetime, but unfortunately tune out half way in because I don’t understand the math

  26. Its perfect for sleep. Interesting enough to listen to, but eventually you get lost and let Dr. O'Dowd lull you to sleep

  27. I saw something crossposted from ⏰ where someone brought their dough with them while running errands so they wouldn't miss a stretch and fold.

  28. I do something like this when i make it: Its not 100% authentic, but its close enough and delicious. I do a roux, sautee some garlic and fine shallots, declare with a little apple cider vinegar, add chicken/beef stock, a hit of worchestershire, corn starch slurry till the right consistency, then a dollop of extra butter at the end for the velvet-ness. Add other spices or beef stock concentrate to adjust.
