I agree. No real significance to this without more details. This could be a new business in the office already. I work in the industry, and I know that our corporate has been heavily slashing square footage to save on real estate leasing inherited by acquisition. This is also during the time of the hybrid work model taking over. Could just be savvy cutting of costs which big banks LOVE.
Agreed, I service commercial office buildings and this it is pretty common, especially now. We’re likely going to see the commercial real estate market crash; source I service 124 buildings and over 50% of them have tenants cancelling leases.
