  1. If that is your correct email, then it is fine. I have one account and this pops up every once in a while.

  2. You could be, it depends. If you invited everyone out to a dinner, they might have expected you to pay. Your gf might have been bragging about you and how generous you are, then this could have been quite embarrassing. Getting a new gf is going to cost you money. And I would say this should be more of a discussion on how you both see your finances going forward. Your money will be hers and hers will be yours. So make sure you have similar financial goals.

  3. But from what I read they don’t even pay people. They get them into a contract and then sell for a lower overall price. So they are just a realtor, but promise cash and a quick turnaround that does not actually materialize.

  4. Eq bank has a prepaid debit card that earns 1% interest. But you could load it every week/month and then you won’t have a problem. Unless she opens a new credit card. And it has a great foreign exchange fee- it does not charge one only uses Mastercards’ daily exchange rate amount.

  5. Devaluing your currency is a great idea. It forces people to either spend their money or have it worth less every year. This in turn will prop up the economy because it will push consumer sales and added bonus you get to sell your goods for cheap internationally and your citizens can’t buy foreign goods because they cost too much. So your domestic industry thrives.

  6. So Alberta has AMVIC and other provinces have their equivalent. In Alberta, if you buy a car they should not misrepresent the car. But check out the business side of the website and the consumer. They usually spell out the rules better on the business side. Businesses hate if you make a report to them because then there is just a hassle for them and maybe a cash penalty. But give them a call/ read the website.

  7. I have a 2016 lx with the 3.3L v6. I love it. The interior and space is perfect for me and my family. Even with the v6, I can get almost 30mpg highway (though around 23 is my usual).

  8. I have a 2015 EX awd 3.3L V6 with 82k on it and only had to do the recalls on it thus far. Has great control in winter and I am running all seasons on it. And living in Edmonton, AB with lots of snow and ice.

  9. When the credit card company “inquires” about your credit, thats what causes the temporary dip to your score because they have to ask from equifax/transunion.

  10. Thank you for all the information. I am just looking for a decent rewards/ cash back credit card. Ideally, I need a different mastercard as I do a bunch of shopping at Costco. My wife and I usually split our purchases on the credit cards. And we usually only travel every 3 years. So we found that travel cards that have benefits that expire have not been ideal for us.

  11. Go with Rogers mastercard if you have a rogers service. There are other cashback options too just filter on them in the tool and search for what suits your spending

  12. Thanks for the suggestion. I checked that one out and it looks like a great option. And I never heard about it before.

  13. windows up to date? i had a similar issue and it went away after a windows update.

  14. Looks like it had something to do with my power settings for some reason. But thanks again for the help it is much appreciated.

  15. Shoot. Did not work for me. But thanks for the comment. I am still on windows 10. So maybe that is part of the issue?

  16. Research shows you are the happiest when you are dreaming of things. Such as a vacation, or getting something. But after you get it, we tend to need to move on to the next shiny object, so the longer you can wait for something the happier you will be in life (and you will have more money in your pocket!).

  17. Darn this happened to me too. I was wondering if it was just me. But thought I would check here. That sucks. I just have been using the Xbox app to gain points, as that still works. And the bing app, you can still gain 30 points pretty quick.

  18. Titanium bit and drill. But go very slowly/ lightly and choose the smallest bit possible. And put the gpu in a vice too.

  19. Or you could use a strong glue and stick it to something that you could use to twist it out.

  20. How much is your house worth if say you could sell it for $600,000 but you have a $200,000 mortgage. I would say it is still worth $600,000.

  21. You may want to wait till Intel puts out their new gpu line (1st quarter 2024). As one card is rumoured to have the specs of a 4080, but half the price. Because you have such a high cpu, you are definitely going to bottleneck on the gpu side, if you buy a cheaper gpu.

  22. Executive wages were the first to go up, then workers started to get some raises too. So now the price increases are permanent.

  23. Cuba actually did (maybe still does) this, so one of the best jobs in the country is a doorman (because of tips). So you had doctors trying to get the job of doorman instead of being a doctor.

  24. Alberta Canada does this every year in high school. You get a small amount in grade 10, then a little bigger in grade 11 and the most in grade 12. Technically, we mainly have public schools, but I think if you were in a private school you would still qualify. It seems to have helped those in higher middle class the most. But not really a fair system for families who struggle financially. Most times those students have lower grades when entering into University or college, so they don’t qualify for the awards.

  25. Pray to the wall street gods for direction. (Wall Street Gods): Tell your wife this is all part of the plan, stocks do fall, but they ultimately come back up in the long-term. No one can time the market (but the writing was on the wall). But I would wait to invest further the economic hardship is just starting and will get worse. Then when all seems bleak, invest again for a nice return on your capital.

  26. Tesla is a pyramid scheme, just keep giving your money to Elon so he can continue gifting horses with his billions of investor dollars.

  27. So true, this is probably one of the cheapest ways to get childcare almost free all summer. But they can’t do it in Edmonton because our pools are now pre-booked and you can only stay for an hour.

  28. But he is single-handedly saving the planet. He will probably fire a bunch more when his robot army is built.

  29. Could be worse, my fil had a divorce and had to buyout with his wife as part of their seperation agreement. He took a cash back loan on a 2021 ram 3500 total loan was about 135k , 1900 a month for this truck to cover the loan and the extra cash he had to pile on to cover the other debts.

  30. Wow, that would be horrible. That is a huge wad of cash being taken each month.

  31. That is an excellent point. Provided that the price doesn’t fall too low while you hold the stocks. It could work out to your benefit to get the interest rate at a low rate.

  32. Also Amazon stopped doing a lot of free returns on there products, I think this turned off a lot of their existing clients. I know I try to avoid shopping from there at all costs.

  33. Sorry if someone already said this, there are a lot of comments already. One way to walk away from a house is if they didn’t build everything to code. So you can make an offer not subjected to financing, but with an inspection. And if the inspector finds for instance the city codes were likely not met. ie. did not get permits to do the work. You can totally walk away from the deal. Or you can just go to the city and find out what permits are attached with the house.
