  1. My dad was forced like that in the 60's. They went as far as to tie his arm behind his back so he would write with the "right" hand. Now he's ambidextrous and has two different handwriting his right is his normal now, but he can write beautifully with his left. And it's completely different looking..

  2. Dude lives in the Avenues as far as I understand it, and travels around to do his thing

  3. The smallest falcon species. Viscous voracious little predators, that dart around eating insects, rodents, and even birds nearly the same mass as them. They also have really pretty coloring. My favorite thing about them is watching them hover in place like a Harrier jet, flapping their wings against the draft winds along highways searching for prey. I'd buy a Kestrel jersey haha!

  4. Stephen Norrington. I LOVE Blade and it shows he has a lot of talent.

  5. say what you want about Mel Gibson but the son of a bitch knows story structure

  6. I've never been seen an English sausage so I will have to agree on that one. German beers better ? Maybe. But more flavorful? No way.

  7. As an American, I’m just looking for beer-flavored beer. American beer is mostly recipes invented by Germans, but made cheaply and quickly with low quality ingredients because of capitalism. German beer tastes like what American beer would taste like if they were trying to make good beer.

  8. I feel like your talking about macro breweries. None of what you're saying applies to American craft beer market.

  9. But only if you have an extremely fortunate name for the type of bird you own.

  10. I have a 5 year old; so yes I did. That's just how banana is pronounced in my world.

  11. The first photo looks like something a Greek hoplite would use to smoke the weed he got off a Scythian horse trainer, after killing some Persians.

  12. I live on the west side and am writing an article for west view media, a paper specifically for residents on the west side of salt lake.

  13. Ok fair enough. Just seemed like the normal Utah prespective that the west side is some violent hell hole. I apologize for assuming that you had that POV.

  14. Well, unfortunately our legislature thinks just that as they want teachers on the west side to carry firearms in class.

  15. I have only read a little coverage from the trip. Is there specific language about west side schools? I haven't heard about that.

  16. Wish I could upvote this more. Only adding get a therapist if you don't have one. You need a neutral advocate to help you navigate this. It's impossible to see the forest through the trees when you feel like this. Hang in there and make at least one move today to help yourself. A walk in the sun, time at the gym, an appointment with a therapist, a plan for something that always makes you smile.

  17. making my own pour-over coffee with (admittedly expensive) equipment and nicer coffee beans =)

  18. How expensive we talking ? A good pour over set up can be had under $200

  19. hario switch / 1zpresso zp6 special

  20. Your gear is a little more premium than mine so that makes sense. And yes wife and I drink 5 lb every month or so of beans that cost $80-120 for that amount. So basically 2 months worth of coffee is worth as much as my Barratza, plastic v60, j scale and bonavita that I've been running daily for nearly a decade. Although I took a look at prices and with inflation my same setup would be double what I paid .

  21. Tons of dispersed camping in Ogden, and logan canyon. Check rec.gov or download the app for actual campsites you can book.

  22. You may also get woken up by a heard of sheep! I remember arriving in some dispersed camping as a teenager late at night . Got camp set up crawled in tent, and then at about 4 AM i was woken up some unknown thunderous commotion. Afraid to investigate until light, I found my tormentors were about 100 head of sheep and a few Great Pyrenees keeping watch. Just know there a lots of ranchers grazing livestock on Forest Service and BLM lands in the summer.

  23. My parents will sit on Facebook interacting with AI models in maga comments for hours.

  24. Don't understand the downvotes . This is definitely a thing that happens.

  25. Is yes sir and yes ma’am not something you say to almost everyone that you speak with? Bankers, gas station attendants, a homeless person on the street. I’d still say yes sir or no sir. I just see it as basic courtesy.

  26. I'm guessing if you're from the US you're in the south. Ima yes sir yes maam person but it's not common where I live . But anyone I've met from the south are.

  27. You clever lads came up with the perfect solution. Tourists either spend their time getting stoned indoors. Or they sit on the beach with their eyes on the sand and the sea.

  28. As a kid, I learnt about Etna, Vesuvius, Pompeii. Now I know Yellowstone, Fuji, Kilimanjaro, Krakatoa and Mauna Loa. In the Netherlands it’s between Vesuvius and Pompeii for most famous, with Etna, Fuji, Yellowstone and Kilimanjaro also being well known

  29. Shocked that Yellowstone is not higher up! Especially if the Dutch know it. It definitely gets huge amounts of international tourism.

  30. Hardly any know that is it a volcano unless they know about the Doomsday scenario because it really is not like any other volcano.

  31. Ask anyone the most famous thing about Yellowstone . If they know it they'll say volcanic activity or things related to it ( old faithful, grand prismatic) I would think more people would know about Yellowstones volcanism then that Mt Fuji is a volcano, it's just famous because it's pretty and close to a mega city. The problem with these karma bait posts is that they never define what famous is. There is no right answer but it's definitely arguable that Yellowstone is top tier famous .

  32. This is basically in Moab but was a favorite of my sister and me as children. Anytime we were in area we made my parents stop. It's an entire house carved out of sandstone.

  33. Painted desert. Used to harvest peyote there in the 70s. Or trade the tribe for it.

  34. I want to have peyote with you an he's your stories about gathering it in the desert

  35. Read a cool book about an ultra runner who found a doggo in the Gobi while in a running event
