Cool points are rewarded by myself and maybe the players when they roleplay or act or show they are engaged with the game and story. And also when they just do really awesome things. So if you roleplay very well a few times let’s say and enhance the game for everyone maybe you get 2 cool points. At the end of the session I the dm roll the cool point d20 and get a 15, you would get 30 extra xp. But if you had 5 cool points you’d get more etc. it’s just a way to encourage roleplay and engagement. It’s fun.
Shadows. People over react to how powerful they are, just like Silvery Barbs, Lucky, etc. Used right, a Shadow can set scenes anywhere, exist anywhere, and be a good recurring enemy that cause some fun out of the box ideas
I think Sphinxes are really underrated, mostly because of their lair action. At first blush they just seem fine, but when I realized they can just age and de-age people like crazy I was like, this is a pretty cool monster. I formed an entire story around a powered up one controlling a Queen by de-aging her over and over to stop a virus that would consume the world if she died.
barbarian like to smash thing
That’s it
fighter, I love the great versatility it can give me between what I want to create, what I want to roleplay and what I can do in combat.
My next guy is a fighter sounds amazing
Lytton Drace, a Vampire Spawn pirate captain! He was slain after a pretty gruelling battle! His defeat is sure to piss off his boss : D
Vampire me sound amazing. How did he fair?
I don’t think I understand you system. How do you score it, and what do they get for getting cool points
