Ring all day! Connects to all of my alexa devices and alerts me when there is motion at the front door or drive way. When the alarm system is set to away, the alexa devices will make barking noises when someone approaches. The most used feature I know I'm getting away from video is setting certain chimes when something is opened using the window/ sensors. The video is just bonus included. There is no limit on indoor outdoor camera recordings .

OP specifically stated they want to avoid a high cost ring subscription.

I'd really recommend doing a quick search before posting an issue you are having. This is a very well known issue.

When configuring samba share you should only set up number like your last suggestion. Do you use authentication in your attempts?

Yes. Tried configuring smb share with and without. I always get "Host not set".

Oh, that sounds like I different issue. "Host not set" sounds more like the user interface cannot see the value you inserted in the field. There is an issue on some devices that when you use external keyboard, mobile keyboard etc. to input text the input does not "stick" if you don't finish input with OK button on remote control. Please try that and see if that helps.

Where are you trying to create the highlight video? I have rarely had success using the web, but my pixel 7 works great.

On web. I’ve tried on my iPhone but don’t remember seeing as many features like changing clip length, music selection, etc. are you able to do that on your end?

Good point. I have used it exclusively for joining a bunch of two-minute clips from my son's hockey games, without any editing at all. The additional benefit is that it doesn't take any storage space and I can delete the originals.

You can send from gmail smtp free as far as I remember.

Yes, but it also exposes your actual email address. I currently using a free Mailgun account for SMTP.

I always use the + at the top or the use the "Add to Album" option while looking at a photo. I have never used this button. Total waste of space!

Mine used to do that too and I had to reinstall. I think it got corrupted somehow.

Reinstalling did the trick! I tried to restore a backup but for some reason it did not accept it. It wasn't that hard to reinstall my add-ons after all. 👍

Did you try clicking twice fairly quick on Kodi or only once?
