  1. The last day. It's been a wild ride! So long everybody! Last one out, burn the cum box.

  2. Be sure to take a couple of jolly ranchers for the road.

  3. Goinng after the super rich will do nothing. They can afford lawyers, etc.

  4. We stopped going to this Starbucks due to ongoing harassment by them bearded man and his gang of pirates that live in the planter in the parking lot. Why they have been aloud to live there for years is beyond me. The Sushi restaurant has suffered big time as well.

  5. What did they do to harass you? I go to this Starbucks regularly and have never had any issues with them. I buy them food now and then.

  6. And how many empty houses do you have California?...

  7. Same, but I'm oddly looking forward to it. When reddit went dark a week or two ago, I realized how often I will mindlessly pick up my phone to start doom scrolling. It is a bad habit or maybe even an addiction at this point.

  8. Same. 10+ years. 2 million karma. My last day here

  9. "We've spent billions pumping water and people are still thirsty. We need to stop."- Los Angeles Department of Water and Power

  10. Why dont blue states just look how other countries handle homelessness and adopt them?

  11. I mean Denmark solved homelessness by housing them without any stipulations

  12. Why is the reddit is fun app shutting down? What's the matter? Are many people reporting this app? Too bad if it shuts down because it has many users. I hope the app will be fixed and not removed.

  13. https://www.reddit.com/r/redditisfun/comments/144gmfq/rif_will_shut_down_on_june_30_2023_in_response_to

  14. I'm off to Lemmy. The official app hurts my eyes. And the rest of this mess hurts my heart.

  15. Same. 10+ years on RiF paid version. I'm out in 2 days.

  16. I think this closest it comes is the Hillary vs. Bernie supporters in the 2016 primary schism.

  17. Except Hillary isn't a leftist, she's a moderate.

  18. She was nominated as democrat, though, I say that counts.

  19. It's on tik Tok only under Jake Hill on June 20th

  20. I know we live in a Capitalist system. I’m saying other systems currently available (socialism or communism) are not the answer either:

  21. About the woman that was shot and killed at 7th and Roycroft....

  22. We had a homeless person that killed a woman with a scooter last year.

  23. These prices are insane! Im in my 30s and bought my house in 2014. My mortgage is $1600. House is a 3bdrm/2ba in a safe neighborhood between CSULB and LCC. House is 1600sqft on a 6000sqft lot. I recently decided to move to Torrance. I’m in the process of converting my detached garage to an ADU. I was shocked to learn that I could rent out the primary structure for $3600 and ADU for $1900 easily. This doesn’t seem ok or sustainable.

  24. It's definitely not sustainable. $80k in Orange County is now considered low income, $70k in LA county.

  25. I thought that has been the case for a couple years now and Anything below that was considered ultra low. When I graduated college entry level jobs were $70k.

  26. My husband knew her. She was not homeless or a drug addict or an out of control schizophrenic. She had a college degree, was always gainfully employed and was a great person. She was not a person that anyone would feel like they need to keep an eye on. She had a mental crisis. This was not her. That being said, empathy for others. Yes, she had a stick. Yes, she was out of control. However, if a woman is running towards you with a stick, how can you justify shooting her in the head? There were so many other options. There is no excuse for shooting her in the head. She had a stick.

  27. I'm sorry they didn't get the help they needed. :(
